Hasn’t it been a long time :-)

March 23rd, 2011

Hello I write to you on this lovely March evening in Glasgow :-) Life has been great the past couple of months. Last week I appeared at the Palace Theatre Kilmarnock in my own show, we had 3 singers, 4 dancers and me :-) it went really well. It is a strange feeling appearing in front of your home crowd. I am so use to inventing family members for my gags, but you cant do that when the family are sitting in the theatre!!! The audience seemed to enjoy themselves as did I, although, the pressure before hand was intense. Work is booming!!!! I am filming an advert for “Right move” I am also an MC for a sky tv 3d exhibition, then I am supporting Joe Longthorne. Things couldn’t be better!!! the “Glasgow life” is great, and my work diary is pretty full. I look forward to making some announcements on here in the next few weeks with regards to work. But the best news about the forth coming weeks is my sister is due to give birth, and that puts all the stress and strain of work into perspective ……… we don’t know if it is going to be a boy or a girl its a surprise!!!!! but I am so excited about being an Uncle or an Auntie. speak soon

Catch Up

January 27th, 2011

so what has been going on in my life since we last chatted, well the season went well in Yarmouth and broke box office records for the christmas season!!!!!! despite the weather.

After the season I went to see a few shows around the UK and got to catch up with friends which was lovely.

First stop was london where I was lucky enough to get to see Totem (on press night thank you Christine Jay), the new Cirque du Solei show, it was a fantastic production. After a few days in London I headed to Newcastle to see my friends in the theatre royal “Robin Hood” panto, produced by Qdos. Another fantastic pantomime, I have seen pantos at this theatre for a few years now and it really is one of the best in the country. Then it was off to the homeland to see my pals james and cat in the Pavillion Glasgow. It was great to watch them and the production really zipped along, Jim Davidson was on great form. I also went to see Bradford Panto with Billy Pearce and my friend Peter Piper. Billy Pearce is an amazing performer,if you get the chance ever you should go and watch him, he gives a master class in comedy panto performing. And him and peter worked well together.

Now it is onwards to the next gigs. I am also doing a show at the Palace Theatre Kilmarnock on the 18th March which is exciting, and I am supporting Joe Longthorne in April, I shall be returning to the Hippodrome Great Yarmouth for my 3rd Summer Season there.

And if thats not enough I have just moved house, so cant sit around chatting and reviewing pantos hahaha I need to go and unpack.

Wow that was alot of information in one blog!!!!!

It’s chuffin cold !!!!!!

November 29th, 2010

Hello people, hope this finds you well. Just returned from sunny Cyprus after a few great ‘gigs’ - what a change in the weather. Just packing to go to sunny (snowy) Norfolk for Christmas season - can’t wait. Not in Scotland this year for Christmas or NewYear, but will be spending it with my ‘adopted’ family at the Hippodrome.
Luckily, I managed to ‘catch’ my ‘china’s’ pantomime in Kilmarnock on Saturday night. Definately well cast, no weak link. It was a pleasure to be entertained by them, and well directed by ‘ma china’. I look forward to hopefully catching some more pantos in January as I do my annual tour - which I love. I would like to extend my best wishes to all my friends in panto season, a great and exhausting time of the year………..but dont we all love it. Well off now this case won’t pack itself, speak to you all in 2011.

Merry Christmas
xxxx
